What are the best ways to relieve persons with asthma when they get the attack and become weak?

Asthma

The person had been using ventolin for relief and this has been very expensive as he frequently gets asthma attacks. Where he lives there is pollution and frequent weather change like cold then hot.

you should move to a cleaner place bc staying there is not good for the person with asthma i know it happened to me and moving made a big difference

I have the same problems and live in the same kind of communtity with a lot of pollution. my best advice is to have the person limit there activity where the pollution is heavy, stay in a cool atmosphere, and please carry a rescue inhaler at all times. Oh, don’t walk on floors bare feet, and don’t get your feet wet then go into a cold place.

first choice, cleaner environment if possible, my partners daughter has asthma, and meds are always first choice, but i know that a really really strong cup of coffee helps, caffeine is a stimulant

I have asthma and would recommend the following:

- move somewhere with cleaner air, if possible

- give him/her some space, physically and mentally, during an attack

- keep the temperature consistent, and somewhat cool

- during an attack, keep a close eye on the person and trust your judgement if you think they need to go to the emergency room

- he/she should be wearing a shirt that is low cut and does not touch the neck

Also, if he is only using an emergency rescue inhaler, he should consult with his doctor and get a more long-term asthma management medication.
