Can asthma cause your chest to hurt in the middle?

asthma
BNM asked:

I have asthma and the heat and dry air is causing it to flare up a little. And my chest is hurting a little in the middle. Not majorly or sharp pains. And I am coughing.

I know that the more you cough the more your chest will hurt.

See if you can add moisture to your air.

At home, perhaps a humidifier? Take a bath? Have some hot tea?

At work, I’ve found that one of those little desktop water fountains can make a difference.
