Are Savannah house cats prone to asthma?

paige_pepper_0338 asked:

I have a blog that I host where people ask me questions about their pets and I research their dilemma and answer them. I got a question from a blogger asking me why her Savannah cat was coughing. Shes not coughing anything up shes just coughing in general. So are Savannah cats prone to asthma? Or is this kitty just having allergies?
The reason I am asking this question is that I always research my bloggers’ dilemma before giving an answer. That way, when I DO get an answer, there are facts supporting it.

I have pretty bad asthma and just had 2 visits to the E.R. last night. A variety of things triggered my attacks this time. Scary stuff. I am on a number of meds. for it, but wondering some good home remedies I could try. TY!
Steering clear of stressful situations isn’t going to happen…I have 7 children!! :0) No smoking here either. That would be the worst thing I could do!

Can I join the military if I was diagnosed with childhood asthma?

Chris asked:

I haven’t been diagnosed since I was like 6 or 7, and I never used my inhaler once. And if I can’t is there some kind of test that I could do that would prove I don’t have asthma now?

For Law Enforcement: Has anyone actually seen a problem with asthma and breathlyzers?

remerton7 asked:

I constantly have people saying they have asthma and can’t blow in the breathlyzer. These people have plenty of breath to smoke and cuss me, but can’t blow in the tube. I’ve never seen anyone atttempt to blow in the tube have weeze, or cough, or anything else associated with asthma. Has anyone seen an asthma sufferer actually have real trouble with the breathlyzer?

Is it normal for asthma meds to make your lungs extra-sensitive?

Luke asked:

My asthma meds make my lungs more sensitive for an hour or so after taking them, and they feel more sore and initially weird, like you can feel the medicine in your chest.

Is that normal and totally nothing to worry about? Is that just a sign of it all working?

I don’t know what to really make of it.

Thanks!
